SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING FUEL
Due to currently rising fuel costs, we are forced to charge a Fuel Surcharge to all of our customers. The regular Cost of Fuel factored into our Basic Hourly Rate is currently $2.50/GAL diesel. However, due to fluctuating fuel prices in the current economy, when the cost of fuel increases from that amount, it will be reflected into our invoicing and disclosed as a separate item.
This Surcharge amount is based on the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) fuel index for CENTRAL ATLANTIC. Current index can be viewed at: EIA INDEX and will be adjusted weekly on Tuesdays.
The EIA index includes a $.50/GAL charge for road tax which does not apply to our industry. Therefore, deduct that amount when using this index.
As of the week of May 15, 2012, a fuel surcharge of $1.14/GAL applies.
We regret having to incorporate this charge into our cost of doing business and hope that this global crisis will be expedient in its resolution.
